Bournemouth Housing Market Update
We remain in a buyers market with high supply of all types of property across the town. As sellers compete for buyers we saw a slight dip in asking prices.
The average house price in Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole was £320,000 in March 2025.
Most of the sellers in the market will also become buyers of course and with record levels of supply that represents a lot of pent up demand.
First Time Buyers and Investment Buyers are needed to turn those sellers into buyers and the good news is the number of First Time Buyers in 2025 is up on 2024 so far. First Time Buyer searches for mortgages increased by 45% in Q1 2025.
The number of Investment Buyers more than halved in 2023 but have been returning slowly with a 12% increase in 2024.
